I love the height of the heel. It's one of the dressy shoes in which you don't feel like falling off. Like all Clarks they are comfortable shoes to wear from the first day. No break in require. I loved the brown pair I had so bought another one in black as well. They look really cool with jeans and run true to size. I have difficult feet so I am picky about shoes. These Alameda shoes are very stylish and look wonderful with skirts, Capri’s, jeans and shorts. The balance of pressure on the heel and ball of the foot is perfect. I do not feel like crying or homicidal at the end of the day. I only found one negative that is the buckle is a little small and hard to fasten, but that's not a big deal as overall these are the killer sandals.
